Mission Statement

HPS is an innovative producer and research based developer of sterile and non-sterile medicines.  We supply products, contract research and manufacturing services to customers both across the NHS and industry. 

     

Operating from MHRA approved facilities, HPS is driven by high standards of quality, production efficiency and a desire to develop products for unmet patient and clinical need.

Dr Burrinder Grewal Managing Director More Dr Burrinder Grewal Managing Director Burrinder has over 15 years’ experience of business building, investment management and venture capital (IP Group plc) and corporate strategy originating from the London practice of Deloitte Consulting where he worked predominately for a pharmaceutical industry client base. Burrinder leads HPS and has responsibility for delivering strategy, sales, operations and all business development initiatives. An Economics graduate, Burrinder is a qualified pharmacist and holds a doctorate in transdermal drug delivery and formulation. Close
Jason Morris Head of Quality More Jason Morris Head of Quality Jason Morris is Head of Quality at Huddersfield Pharmacy Specials and has over 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry. With a background in Biology, Jason’s career moved from lab analyst to senior quality roles and includes acting as Qualified Person and Responsible Person. He has a passion for quality, compliance, improvement, and leadership with a track record of building high performing teams and developing robust and efficient processes. Jason’s approach is pragmatic while maintaining the highest levels of integrity and humility. Close
Michael Wescott Finance Manager More Michael Wescott Finance Manager Michael is a CIMA qualified accountant and joined the NHS in 2008. After gaining a degree in Physics he worked for KPMG, followed by 15 years in precision engineering: performing accounting, costing, systems and operational roles. He has significant experience in data analysis and systems development with a focus on continual improvement. Since joining the trust he has successfully implemented a class-leading patient level costing system and supported HPS with business and financial analysis and advice. Close
Stuart Tolson Head of Production More Stuart Tolson Head of Production As Head of Production Stuart is responsible for all production activities at Huddersfield Pharmacy Specials. Stuart has over 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry primarily covering the manufacture and supply of Licenced Medicines, Medical Devices and Household Products. Prior to working at HPS Stuart held several senior roles within Product Devolvement, Production, Continuous Improvement and Supply Chain. Over this time, he was part of the Senior Leadership team that helped transition a family-owned pharma business into a multinational pharma business. Stuart is a qualified analytical chemist with an MBA and holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. His experience covers NPD, cleanroom construction, manufacturing and filling equipment install, ERP/MRPII, Sales and Operational Planning, and new product acquisition / integration into production and supply.
